I pull my EG on a 4x8 trailer with a wheel chock. I built the trailer from a kit and added the deck and the chock. It works great. I pull it behind my old motorhome so, I literally cannot feel it back there. I get that this is redneck but, it fits me.. I have hauled this bike a long way behind that trailer. As you can see there's no where near enough room for anything but the one bike.

Looks real good to me! Thanks for the pic. I had a feeling a touring bike would really fill up the space.

MoCo says they fit 2014+ bikes. Don't know if they'd work on my old 'glide.

I Hack'd up a couple using an old tie down strap and an old bicycle tube for use on my bike lift.

I think for the trailering I may go with these:
Amazon.com: Keeper 05723 1 1/2" by 8' Heavy-Duty Motorcycle and ATV Tie Down, Pack of 2: Automotive Amazon.com: Keeper 05723 1 1/2" by 8' Heavy-Duty Motorcycle and ATV Tie Down, Pack of 2: Automotive

I'm thinking about this setup.

I don't have the space to store a 7-8 foot wide trailer or an enclosed one. And it needs to do multiple hauling tasks, which would make an enclosed one impractical.

I decided to have it custom built so that the interior is 61" x 110". Fold up steel gate/ramp. I'll do the flooring in 3/4 ACX plywood (I can get 5x10 sheets), and go 24" up the sides/front/rear with 1/2 ACX plywood. I'm looking for a decent wheel chock that is removable.

It's a compromise, but it will have to do. The frame should be done in a couple of weeks, then I'll do the wood. When it's done I'll post up a few pics with the FLHS in it (because this is an EVO forum....).
where can you get the 5x10 sheets? i would like to get one myself. as to the trailer being built, i would weld in metal the length of the trailer where the wheels are going to sit. not cross way but the long way, otherwise over time the plywood will start to soften up..

That is interesting. I like the flush mounted straps.

They are not too far from me, and will sell one or two sheets to us 'little guys'. Other places want you to buy a boxcar load. Menards sells 5x10, but it is special order. the above place also has 4x10x1/2 for use on the sides.

My trailer is being 'custom' built by these guys: http://joestrailermfg.com/9.html Local builder that's been around a long time. Less than 10 miles from my driveway.

Like I posted, I can't get anything too big, as the ordinance cops will be citing me if I can't store it inside or get it around back of my house.

After watching the video, my only problem with it is that the wheel chock mount doesn't sit flush with the floor. Their mounting plate needs to stick up, and has a couple of tabs for the wheel strap to attach to it. I really need to have a nice flat (or reasonably flat) floor for hauling other crap.

Maybe something like this: http://www.wheeldock.com/page/home/r...ey-wheel-chock

The quick connect can be mounted at the very front of the trailer. With a 5x9 trailer I can still get sheets of 4x8 plywood to ride flat.

Oh just to keep this in the EVO forum, it'll hold my 1993 FLHS:
