That store-bought nut plate clip thing in 1/4x20 would be just the thing. But I didn't have one of those. I did have a MIG welder, some 16ga stainless and some 1/4x20 stainless nuts....

stainless is better fo sho, but I be lazy sometimes.

Those thumbscrews do a GREAT job giving you about 15 rwtq that you lose with drag pipes too....see my thread and S&S's analysis:

One of many places linked below. Paint jobbers or automotive parts stores with painting supplies should have them. In my my mind those are the nutserts you use to attach fenders.

Pipes sound good.

I think you need one of these like I installed to TRY to make our lousy twin cams sound as good as our old EVO's.
