Well, my gearbox doesn't seem to have that problem as it's perfectly capable of losing oil through the mainshaft and/or gearshaft seal...

Yep...while the engine needs help eliminating oil...the tranny and sometimes Primary have few problems...especially the Cow-Pie!!!

when the hi gear bushing has worn to be loose, no amount of seal changing will fix it But you can re bush it and tighten up all the end plays for a dry ride again
