I've been reading carb threads for a few days to the point my vision is blurred. I don't know what jets I have in the bike I have what looks like V&H short shots on the bike now. IF it hasn't been done I plan on drilling the air mix screw plug an swap jets to match the new cam (an do cam bearing). I'd like to only order 2, 3 max jets for main an slow an wanted to know what anyone running this cam on stock displacement/compression bike uses. I'll be doing the install over the winter or right before next riding season. Got to order jets, cam bearing an bearing tool.
I've read conflicting info on drilling the slide hole, changing the needle and or the Emulsion tube. it's on a 99 softail.
here's the pipes, I may change to something better performing like a 2 into 1:
One shim on the needle, with a 46 slow and 185 main. I may shim the needle again but I don't know... runs good the way it is but I have a little bit of decel pop. I've been running this set up for over a year now.
