I run Genuine Toyota oil filters on my bikes. It's the same filter as used on a 1986 RN 4 cylinder Truck.
You run it then...I won't...it ain't recommended...the return side of the oil pump needs as little restriction as possible..Wayyy more Important than oil pressure...Just that ya can't get a gauge to check it so...No Worries I guess...

Nope !

I don't use paper filters period, but if I did, one piece of rubbish would be good as the next as long as it fit.

Still got the Showas on the new bike...the old one...IDK who the MoCo farmed 'em out to..Don't got no Car Filter on it tho...I'll buy the filter from the Company, before I put a car one on...
BTW Don't use Car oil either...Diesel oil either..
But, the old Shovel only has about 50k trouble free miles on..
And the '74?? lost track of Miles Long ago...

26 years with a wix 51348 on the same bike, and 4 years on the other bike. Both have had no issues and compression is like new. To each his own. I don't need "special" motorcycle oil, motorcycle filters, or motorcycle air. YD
