I own a 1985 flhtç and have been using fram ph3600 or ph3416 if I want a shorter filter for many years. I have over 100k miles on the bike. Original bottom end.

Yeah, I think it's a 90915-YZZD1. Fits 22R motors and a million others. The Toyota ones are even black, so they fit in with the bike. Orange don't fit with the color scheme. Even WIX white don't really fit in with the color motif, although they are also a very good filter. If you want one that is slightly longer but otherwise has the same specs, get one for a Lexus 1UZFE motor, as found in a 99 LS400.

Anyway, the OP asked for a filter to get at the auto parts store. The WIX or NAPA premium filter for a 1986 Toyota RN Truck will do just fine and is available at any auto parts store.

The cross references for the LS400 (1UZFE V8 motor) filters frequently come up with the same filter as the RN Truck (22R 4 Cyl) filter, but from Toyota, the 1UZFE filter is slightly longer. For some HD applications, like my bike, the longer filter would probably stick down a bit too far. For filters that are hanging off the front, it might not matter. In fact, I think HD has a filter that is slightly longer for some of the bikes. The V8 Toyota filter would be perfect for that. It is probably the 90915-YZZD2. I would have to go out to the shop and look at my stock.

Oh, BTW, I have bought Genuine Toyota oil filters made in U.S.A. Wherever that is.
