Just like Hillside, your local shop should be able to recommend the best CR and cam to provide you with a good working combination. We can give you a scatter-gun variety of suggestions, but there is no substitute to talking things through with the man who is going to do the most important part! Hopefully he will already have a range of proven set-ups, one of which will give you the performance improvement you would like.

Hillside stage II heads, w6 cam, Wiseco 10:1and an S&S E will yield 90 lbs torque and 85 hp with great gas mileage and performance. Scott's done a lot of those.

Sorry, to get those numbers you will need a static comp of 10.5:1 if your going to use the w6 cam.

Thanks, the front wheel is a dna fat 50 spoke and the rear is stock. They are both wraped in shinko 777hd ww. I have been looking at the mikuni 42, price wise i will either go with it or stick with my cv. It's still in the 70's in Ohio so far so I won't be tearing into it till the temp breaks. Also i noticed my block has a small leak at the split should i be concerned with this? Thanks guys.

Just put a Mikuni 42 on my 03 Fatboy with a 95" kit on it. Its AWESOME! Ate up my buddies 04 SE Electraglide a couple months ago in 3rd gear. More fuel than sotck CV carb by far and choke runs perfect on its own. Highly recommend.

hey guys, I have a question. My front forks have air to them I never run any in them and I doubt they will hold it anyway. Would it be better to just buy the progressive mono tubes and install those?

If you don't use the air system I would rebuild them with something that isn't designed to use the air.
I guess the answer to your question is yes (although there are several other options out there).

Start a new thread of your own, there's a good chap. This one is about engines and your query will get lost in here. As Texas says, there are solutions available.

You won't go wrong with the Racetech single rate spring system in that front end.
