Man your too late should have said something while I had the front end apart LOL. A little update I was trying to get it buttoned up and the valves are pitted really bad. Gonna see if the can be ground and while I'm at it gonna have a 3 angle valve job done, If I'm lucky I won't be buying valves and seats.
Don't skimp on the heads. Most times guides ,seal and valves are what's wrong on 98% of these. If not rite. New rings won't do shirt but suck more oil past the heads. Getter done.
I have new seals that came with my top end gaskets they are the good ones, I'm not an expert but as far as I can tell the guides have no play in them at all. Anyhow the heads are going to the shop today, I'm sure it won't be cheap but I'll figure that part out. Would it be any benefit to have an angle job done with the stock valves? Can that be done without the port and polish? I thought maybe sense the heads are shaved and the .030 head gaskets that the angles might help also with the w6 cam.

As far as i know a 3 angle is supposed to make a difference but i leave that up to the experts... Actually i hear they're doing more angles then 3 . I tell just send them my heads. After answering their questions on riding style, cam and where do you want your power. I leave it to them....
Dropped the heads off, valves are able to be ground and cleaned up. There not as bad as I thought, also doing a 3 angle job on them he said anymore than that wouldn't be beneficial unless I'm building a race motor.

Still waiting on the heads to be finished up, in the meantime my wife got me a set of S&S power tune headers. Excited about these pipes as everything I have heard is good, still get the true dual sound plus an 8hp boost and a newer style look.
