Default Backfiring through carb

Hey all, had a problem all summer with my 99 EVO backfiring through the carb. Wouldn't do it often maybe every 3'rd to 4'th time I rode it and only when taking off from a light, just a quick fart. Now that the snow is here it's time to adress it before I put her to bed for the winter. It has a stage 2 done to it and as far as I know the stock carb. Where do I start? Any help is appreciated

Also check for an intake manifold leak, but too lean is what causes that backfire.

Where The Hell is Edmonton? I used to have that shirt.
