Default CV Carb Issue

I took the bike out again to test it out. When I got back the carb was pissing gas from the overflow valve and elsewhere. This it happened just as i got in the garage and turned off the petcock. So it's not the petcock this time, I guess it's time for rebuild.

the easy thing to try is pulling the bowl an checking for junk. There's a needle that sits on the float that shuts off fuel flow an if it's not seating fuel will flow (at least that's how I understand it). I don't know much about anything but debris in the carb is the cause of a lot of the problems.

Stuck float, or worn float valve, or dirt in the bowl.

Things to buy: New needle, Polishing Compound, and Q-Tips.

Use the polishing compound and Q-tips to clean the needle seat.
Replace the needle and set float level.

Note: Don't use Rubbing compound as it is too gritty and coarse.

Drop the float bowl, give a shot of carb cleaner into the needle and seat, replace float bowl.

If you want to take a chance on a quick fix try leaving the petcock in the off position and starting the bike. Let it run until it dies due to lack of fuel. Then open the petcock and start the bike. This will work sometimes if there was a piece of dirt stuck in the needle and seat assembly. Sometimes it will flush the dirt out of the needle and seat and it will work properly again.
