fxr here too!
1991 fxr superglide 150 000km or 93000miles never had the thing brake down on the road best reliable bike if i ever seen one!!! and never had nothing done to it except regular tune ups and a bit of customisation.but i must admit this year small oil leak apperead not bat for a 19 years old bike!! will fix this winter when season is over here in montreal.

Since it looks like you've got a Convertible, you've already got a great model. If it still has the CV carb, a good rejetting to go with the Supertrapp (my choice as well, NICE!!) would improve things, as would a return to a stock air cleaner housing with a Scheming Evil 
(K&N) Air Filter to get more air moving through. A mild street cam like the HeadQuarters HQ-0024 or something equivalent from Andrews or Crane would help. Lastly and most important, I think, get a different ignition module. The stock unit just plain blows, and not in a good way. I like the Screamin' Eagle units, take your pick.

Started with an 83 FXR. Wish I never would have sold that one. Have a 93 that the wife and kids sometimes ride......so long as im not.
