I used a set of V-Thunder lifters in my engine last year....I used to use these i race cars so I figure they were good for the bike I think a set cost me around $75
I second these. Recommended to me by someone else on here. I believe they make them for another brand, maybe oem don't remember. Mine are quiet pumped up right away on first start.
Went with HD 's B lifters at 40K miles the 93 FLHS now has 74K miles They got my vote The B lifters are designed to keep the needle bearings from falling out like the HD orig lifters had problems with back in the early 90's
I see Johnson offers their lifter for the evo in two ways: "Steel" or "Cast" at about 10 bucks difference for a set. Does it really matter which one? Is the steel better than the cast?
It looks like their prices came down from a few years ago so I wonder why? YD

I wouldn't think that one could get the tolerances one would need with cast lifters...
