Went with Jims in my 84. They tried going with the big axle set up but kept having failures. They reverted back to their original style and there are no reported lifter failures that I have read about.
I've heard good reviews from these. I used S&S , but on a budget I would use these. Some on E-Bay.

I second these. Recommended to me by someone else on here. I believe they make them for another brand, maybe oem don't remember. Mine are quiet pumped up right away on first start.
