Picked up a Ness Big Sucker today. I think I'm missing three screws to bolt the filter to the long bolts but I can't find a parts list.
Anyone got a PDF manual for the Evo? I can only find the Sportster one. I'm not sure if I'm missing washers for the large breather bolts as well either and if so if they need to be a certain thickness to make the holes on the bolt line up or if that even matters. Is there any washer or seal between the backing plate and the heads?
If anyone has one and can help I'd appreciate it. I think I can just buy three button heads for the filter bolts.
Thanks that looks like it's it. So I'm missing some orings and I have the wrong bolts too looks like he gave me the twin cam bolts. Not sure if I can get just the Evo 1/2 bolts. Wonder if anyone in the dyna forum has one with the two extra bolts that they wouldn't use on the twin cam
Those banjo bolts can be tricky to source. I have an indy close by that happened to have some. I think there maybe some in one of the catalogs..... Drag, Biker's Choice, JP.
I found those didn't think they would work. The ness bolts seem narrower where the hole is and are slightly longer. I might end up buying the kit it should come with the orings gasket and button head screws but $35 for a bolt kit is steep, but considering what I got it for I guess o can't complain. I posted a wanted I'm sure someone has them in their parts box and doesn't realize it.
You can order the replacement bolts from Ness. I had one come out on a trip ( Hello Blue Loc-Tite ) and they sent me one.
You can order just that? I thought you had to order the whole kit? I think I can grab the 4 o-rings at the ace hardware not sure yet, but I'll call Ness tomorrow unless I get a response on my other post and someone has them.
What are you guys cleaning these filters with? It used our lighter fluid but I guess that's not recommended. Think this is an hd filter not a K&N or ness
