Thanks guys needed a second set of eyes on it. I was going to try and clean the black ring around the bolt and Harley trim piece and leave that ring chrome but I don't think I can get a clean line around it so I think I'll leave it black for now.

Just my stock cover. I removed the trim ring only to find a rusty mess so I plastidipped it. I was going to just leave it plain chrome. This stuff looks good in person it has a nice texture to it.

I bought a cheap aftermarket 7" air cleaner kit for some other carb (Bendix?), and just used the cover. It was a perfect fit.

The hardware store sells these danco rubber orings in the right size #16 they label them as a #40. Is that going to hold up or should I go see what the auto parts store has. I'm not sure how hot these are going to get. O'Reillys has them listed but they appear to be the same nitrile rubber. I don't know what the ness ones are made of or if it even matters

Posting just for anyone that runs across this issue and needs an answer. I forgot to update it. The rubber orings do not have to be viton as the heat is not high enough. I confirmed with Ness. A #16 oring is what it takes and if you're at the hardware store it might be called a #40 but it's a 16
