I took an 800 mile trip with the wife last weekend and about half way through the trip my bike started to vibrate/shake at the same RPM in every gear, dont have a tach so not sure what RMP. Bike still runs great accept for this issue. It almost feels like im lugging it but im absolutely not, plus it does it on acceleration and deceleration as well. It does it in every gear shortly after I shift and am accelerating then goes away once I get to a higher RMP, same with deceleration in the same RPM range. If I hold say 4th gear till 67-69 MPH (normally shift into 5th a little before that) I can accelerate through the vibration/shake. I havent felt it in 5th yet but generally dont ride over 85-90 mph. I have a BDL enclosed belt drive thats vented pretty well and the bike is a 96 Fatboy. Also if I pull the clutch in the vibration goes away. Its something i've not felt before and it started pretty suddenly. I've checked motor mounts and exhaust mounts so far and stopped and talked to my Indy about it and will prolly drop the bike to him next week if I dont get it figured out. Like allways thanks for any help.

Doesn't that point to something not quite right with the clutch basket? Compensator nut coming loose?
Others with more knowledge should be along soon.

Yeah I had the belt off the other day and its definitely a bit worn so I ordered a new one, should have it tomorrow. Thing is when I had the belt off I checked the clutch basket, actually the whole assembly and it had a little back and for wiggle but not much. Tried calling and emailing BLD but i've gotten no response from them, kinda frustrating.......actually it pisses me off that after multiple attempts they haven't gotten back to me, oh well........
Did you try finding the vibration sitting still slowly increasing the rpms in neutral and in neutral or gear with the clutch pulled in? That should help narrow it down.

No actually I didnt but I will today after work, thanks!
Well I couldnt really tell in neutral if the vibration was any worse at any different RPM, the bike just vibrates like crazy period in neutral.......
I did replace the primary belt and that didnt seem to help at all. When I had the belt off I again checked the clutch/hub assembly and it doesnt have any play in and out so I dont think the nut or anything came loose. But it does have some back and forth or side to side wiggle. Any ideas? Im dropping at my Indy tomorrow to see if he can figure it out.

Hey kp I just read through your entire post about your bike shaking. Sent you a PM asking if you figured it out then noticed you being the same guy posting here. What a nightmare!!
