I read on the forum somewhere about floorboard extensions so I looked them up and bought a set of 3/4" kit. I have to say the change is subtle but comfortable. I do like having the boards out a little more as my feet don't seem to be tangled up in the shifter or brake pedal as much.
Just thought I'd pass along a positive opinion on these things.
Floorboard extensions are always the first or second mod I do. It sets better and allows better air flow, and cooler. I never had any ground clearance issues on my FL, but did lower the cornering clearance on my Heritage. Regardless I use them.
It's been a few miles and I'd like to extend these out more, is it possible to use longer grade 8 blots with some steel pipe for spacers to do this without buying a whole new kit?
Thanks.
i added them on my previous Ultra, and just installed Monday on my new SGS.
The stock position had my feet feeling like they were half off the boards, constantly feeling like I needed to squeeze my knees together to keep my feet from being blown off the boards.
