I was reading another thread where many of you talked of floorboard extentions. Do they really make that much of difference (1") and are there different types or do several companies just make the same type product. Thanks
I put mine on and absolutely love them. It took a few rides to find the shifter but now I wouldn't be without them. They don't scrape either, at least not yet.I got mine from here on the forum, I just cant remember the name just now. I'll look.
I will put it like this. Before the extensions, my feet sat about half on the floor boards. Now with the 1" extensions, my feet set almost all the way on the board.
Before I got them I notice my feet were hanging over the edges of my boards. I was suprised at how much of a difference they did make. Much more comfortable.
The floorboard extentions by harleygoodies.com are the single best comfort modification that I have made to my Ultra. Harleygoodies also offers a discount for forum participants, and they are the best people to deal with. I can't say enough about the modification or the product.
1" mades a big difference in foot placement, just as the 1" lowering shocks make a big difference for us short guys. You won't be dissatisfied.
As per Dawg's picture, Soos makes house calls to install his Floorboard Extensions.
I would put something down for him to lay on. It pained me to see him laying on the cold concrete.
+1 on the HarleyGoodies
I bought them after my first ride in the summer heat. Just moving my leg just one inch our really help take some of the heat off my leg.
I was like others riding with my feet hanging 1/2 off the boards, They really helped..
I just love mine. Had them on my 04 Road King, and then got a set for the Ultra. Just as others have said, feet use to hang off the floor boards until I installed them.
