Default Swingarm Upgrade

Today I jacked up the rear of the bike and started the swingarm change.
Been collecting parts for some time.
I'd been dreading the pivot shaft removal after reading various tales of woe on the internet.
It popped right out, easy as pie, and the old swingarm is sitting on the floor, I'm stoked.
Just needed to tell someone.

Excellent!

Tell us the particulars of your conversion. Are you replacing the swingarm with one of the newer ones? Just upgrading the cleve blocks? Anything else?

Sorry, I'm not good with posting pics on computer, by which I mean not too smart.

I'm replacing the swingarm with a newer model, using Howards stuff, soon as I get it.

Newer brake caliper and wheel, rotor , pulley etc. and matching wheel on the front.

Last winter I upgraded the front lower legs and caliper, so the new wheel should slot right in.

The only problem is the mechanical speedo modifications.
Or at least the only problem I foresee.
Of course I could be wrong.

Sounds like a real nice upgrade. If you have a smart phone it's easy as hell to up load pic's.. When you do your next reply just scroll down a little to Manage Attachments-click, choose file-click, then pick what file to pull the pic from-click, upload-click, then you can close out that window once attached and then just "submit reply".... WALA....

You can cut a slot in the front L rotor or buy a new set of rotors from jireh that have the speedo slot already in the rotor
