it doesn't use spacers. Just the springs. Same way on both style of front ends. Now my dyna uses a spacer but that one is a twincam. The only time I had spacers on a front end (softail) was when I built a rigid with a four over front end. That one used stock length springs and used the spacer to make up the gap.

 

I think all aftermarket brands do that, as their springs can be made to suit a wide variety of other brands and models. Only a bike manufacturer has the need for quantities that make tailor-made springs practical and economical.
