Default Ebay high torque starters

looking on ebay they range from 150 to 300 1.4kw to 2.4kw no name brands, pro torque, all b**ls, too many to chose from. My autozone battery didnt last a season (I know ya get what ya pay for) but i figured a high torque starter would not beat up the battery so bad.
Advice appreciated, id like a season of riding this year without jumping the thing first

Buy a Yuasa AGM battery.
My last one lasted over 4 years and still turned the bike over fine but voltmeter said it was starting to get weak.

Upgrade to heavy gauge battery cables. I put on a pair of Sumax cables that I am very happy with when I did my battery upgrade.

Pretty much any 1.4 Starter will get you there. The battery should be at least 270 cca and cables are not really necessary unless you have too much voltage drop across the cable. I bought a no name 1.4 kw six years ago matched to a high compression motor and it's still ticking. You really don't need anything greater than a 1.4..... If your running 10.0:1 or higher you should consider compression releases...

Not cheap, but spins the 111 over like a toy, never have to charge it, but it does use a standard charger if need be.
I have better cables and Allballs 1.4k also.

I have a slightly modified 113" with comp releases and a 96" running 10:1's in it with no comp releases and use a stock starter to crank it.

I replaced the cables last year as they were 22 years old and I was in there. Stock cables went back in.

Depending on what year your bike was manufactured makes difference in starters. I know my 98 originally came with a .8kw starter and when the 88"er's can our they stepped it up Rio a 1.2 kw starter. So yea your 96"er probably had a slight studder initially at 10.0:1 but if you use a .8kw it'll sound like a capacitor...

I went through 3 of the Ultima 1.7 and 2.0
In 1 year on my 127ci FXR... put a stock starter and a 400cc amp battery . No problems

thanks guys, main problem probably the autozone battery, was broke when the hd battery died so got what i could get. Probably gonna buy a no name 1.4kw starter and a agm battery, put the jumpimg to ride nonsense behind me. Mainly was concerned if the no name starters were ok
