Default Replace 2003 revtech 100 Evo motor

hey guys. Looking into possibly replacing 2003 revtech 100 Evo with hd motor or s&s. looking for best value and easiest swap to keep price manageable

I'd go with an s & s v80 if you want cheap. A stock crate motor from HD has seemed to went up in price.

What about something used? Does year matter?

I don't think so. All Evo's was the same across the years. The only different is that the early years seemed to leak more oil though if I remember right. If you can find a used motor with low mileage I'd jump on it.

I think that the softtail models are direct bolted. Not sure about the dyna's. Touring is rubber mounted for sure.

So it's possible I get a motor with different mounts and will have to change them? The bike is registered as a bmc so I don't know if the mounts would be like the dyna's, touring etc
