A few posts ago you mentioned a w6. Awesome cam! I loved every mile of it. My only advice is this;
Adjustable pushrods. Period. Some say it is a drop in cam but I must disagree. It is a noisy clacking cam that will make you uneasy until at the first ride. Because after that you will be smiling!
On this forum I know of a bunch of guys that ride theirs but of course 1997bagger & Jasper86 are now both onto 124+ big inch motors. Those two know more than I do and they'll vouch for that setup.
Great thread, OP!

Definitely the best and most reliable build @ 10:1 for and Evo. Match it with a S&S E and the fun factor is unmatchable....

Thanks for the advice on the cam. I'm thinking about maybe holding off until next winter now just to get some miles on it the way it is, then upgrading so I can feel the difference. I have another bike to ride but I'd rather get this one going this summer hopefully.

Lovely Jubbly.! Love everything,well almost everything,about it.
The only part I dont love is the Fairing. Im a Batwing Fan but gotta say everything on your ride looks "right"(in my humble opinion) especially the Paint job, the colors and where it "flows" from one end of the ride to the other. I know this is not exactly what yours will look like but if your work on the fender is an example I am sure you will have one cool Harley when you are finished. Really looking forward to updates .Bungo

hey thanks! I'm with you I don't like the road glide fairing either that's why I'm sticking with the original batwing fairing. I guess I never specified that. I just found the tank and loved the colors so I got it and I'm going to match the paint to it. Not positive on how the paint is going to be on the fairing just yet but it will flow well with the rest.

I picked up this original fairing off eBay back in the summer. These babies are getting hard to find! It will be orange where the silver is and a little lower, then the charcoal grey will be on the lower part with the silver stripes.

They sure are. I called all over the country and couldn't find a damn thing. Looked on eBay and ran across this one. Had to pay $350 for it but it's in perfect shape.
