My gauge can read 35# on a cold engine start up. Normally it reads 5 to 8 lbs hot idle, and 21 lbs running dn the road. If it ever does read 0-1 lb and the light is not on then all is fine, and I still have all my head of hair. Just a matter of common since.
One thing a idiot light cant do is tell you your pressure is too high. also it cant tell you that your engine is healthy because it cant tell you that you have 18-21 lbs running dn the road. Im sure someone will straighten me out on that.
Actually, your's should be 35 running down the road, so you are about 1/3 worn out. Not sure how many miles you have but it's pretty much the next same amount will be worn out since it goes fast the last half. So it is working.

Fill any better?..
So the best mechanics and you are at odds. 18 to 21 lbs running dn the road for an evo is perfect. 5-10 lbs at idle is also perfect. so ya I am perfectly fine. Anytime you care to see how wore out my evo is just drop by with a lot of cash to lose.
