This might be the same thing: "Wolfgang MetallWerk™ Concours Metal Sealant goes a step beyond protection by removing any light residue that may detract from the metal’s shine. A light cleaning agent lifts any remaining residue from the metal as it deposits a clear layer of polymer protection. Metal polishing can be a messy process, creating a lot of black residue. Wolfgang MetallWerk™ Concours Metal Sealant removes the last remnants of this residue to reveal the cleanest, most reflective finish."

Sounds good. I'll give it a shot.

Spent a couple of hours on the lower forks today. Bought some of Rizzo's "Secret Sauce" at the auto parts place. Worked really well getting the old urethane off. Had some popsicle sticks that I used to get the residue out that I could not reach with a plastic scraper.

Pic shows the one I cleaned today compared to the on I'll do tomorrow.

Have not waxed the clean one yet.

If you do this, be aware that it is a really dirty job. Do not recommend doing this inside if you can help it.

I think what I am going to do with my polished forks is nothing but hit them with Mothers or Blue Magic every couple of weeks. Maybe more or less often. I have plenty of time as I am retired. Maybe a quick coat of car wax over them for a little extra protection. I cannot hurt them. From what I am reading a lot of these sealants will slightly dull the shine. I don't know. There are a million opinions out there. I definitely will not clearcoat them as the original problems will start all over. sounds like just a little maintenance is all that's needed. I will soon find out.
