I also can't believe I went so long on the stock suspension. It felt like I was riding a new bike this morning.

So I need some input/opinions. I feel the color of the bars doesn't really flow as well as I would like the more I look at it. I feel like I need more black.

I am torn between the two options below. Mainly looking at the tins around the headlight/fork and how they flow.

Option A:

Option B:

I like the top pic black/chrome combo...you can always do the lower portion later if you don't like the black/chrome combo. It gives a nice balance of the seat (black) and the chrome on the oil tank and rear fender struts. YD

I like option B. What you should do is get yourself some plastidip and practice using it then tape and do what you think you want black and give it some time before you paint or powder it. The pd is peelable and will stick to shiny chrome without any damage. It's very durable. At $6 a can it beats paying the powder coated then finding out you mighta liked it better the other way.

I was somewhat leaning this way. I almost picked up a black set that came up on CL last fall but passed on them.

I do have a can of PD from coating the coilovers on my car in an attempt to weatherproof them. I actually sprayed some under where the seat sits on the rear fender to try and save the paint. It is a flat color but should give me a good idea.

FYI the glossifier doesn't work don't buy it. It's between flat and satin I'd say and if you let it dry good then wipe a little wd40 on it with a soft rag it cleans up well and looks more like a satin. I did my chrome bars wasn't sure if I wanted chrome or black. It's been on there ever since.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess if it doesn't turn out, I am no further than I am now.

4-5 coats. Start very very light barely covering at first. Let it bake in the sun if possible. Give it a good wd40 wipe if you want and you're good. You can recoat as soon as it's dull and all the shine is gone after spraying.

Well I have not gotten around to any painting yet as the weather has been too decent to take it back apart but figured I would add a couple photos.

Next thing I would like to do would be new wheels but have too many other projects to take care of before I spend any more money on the bike.
