If you have enough stud left the the puller will get a grip then so will a pair of vise grips , I would put some heat on that stud before you attempt to take it out. It's an 8mm stud if I remember right.

I couldn't budge it with vise grips, and a buddy has my torch. I just ordered new studs from colony and a stud removal tool. I'll put some heat to it before I try to take it out. The new one will go back in with some loctite.

Heat the stud not the leg, I know that sounds condescending but guys will do that and cry like a baby when the clear coat starts bubbling.

Good luck and a new propane torch is cheap verses snapping off what's left of the stud and having to do the drop and drill it out routine.

I'll pick up a new burnzamatic on my way home today and wait for the new studs and tool to get here and have at it.

You could try a small 1/4" cold chisel tapping on the side to break it loose.
On another note I will recommend the RaceTech single rate spring upgrade for your front end. Also in pinch a 15" crescent wrench fits the top cap nut on my RK.

I'll keep you guys posted. The tool and studs shipped today looks like it will be the weekend before I'll get to it.

Thanks for all of the info and tips.

You don't need to take the forks apart just to get that stud out unless it's flush. In which case, works springs!
Just to follow up, I bought one of these tools and it was the best $26 I ever spent. Had both fork studs out and tools put away in less than 5 minutes.
