Anyone got a HSR42 on the shelf they want to sell? I mean what else can it be? It has to be carb related it should pull had to rev limiter right?
Maybe.
My thought at this point is that you should put this thing on a dyno and get a graph of AFR vs RPM and see what's what. If you've got an indy near by that has one it shouldn't cost much. Only takes a few minutes. Absent that, you're kind of shooting in the dark.
There's any number of things that could be causing this, many of which are not carb related.
You need some hard data to tell you where to look next.

Bowl off. Off I depress the plunger shouldn't the check valve stop gas from squirting up this hole or is it only blocked when bowl assembled due to pressure? If I slowly press the plunger it squirts into bowl. If I block hole it comes out the accelerator nozzle. I know it sprays when assembled but is that right? I though the check ball stopped backwards flow?

I believe the check ball is there so it will only flow off of the accelerator pump and not get sucked through continuously when running. I have had a similar issue with my S&S.. They can be a pain in the *** to reassemble......
