That jet was installed last year. I took the carb off it's completely spotless. I can't find a spec of dirt anywhere. I'll clean it again but there's nothing in here at all. The tank was cleaned not long ago and there's a new peacock strainer so that's not it. Unless it was a piece of crap from the fuel line that got jammed in there upon reassembly last time I can't find anything wrong. I did have the small oring upside down on the accel pump cover but don't think that's anything. I checked he mixture screw washer and oring. All clean and good.
I do have a float needle question. When turned upside down should the spring on the needle keep the float level or should it go in on its own weight. It holds it at 20 degrees but it seems weak just thought I'd ask.
Any specific holes or ports I should triple check here? I think I found the one issue and it was just a random piece of crud from the top of the fuel line I guess.
One last question while it's apart should I attempt to vent the crankcase to the air or leave it as is. Ness big sucker, haven't seen any easy ways to do this except for getting ahold of some stock banjo bolts and two black stock rubber boots and using those to bypass the ness vents. I don't have either but could probably find some on eBay
Ok that's fine. Just used air to confirm ball works. Check this out just dropped main jet. Bingo. WTF is this and where did it come from!?
Could be the ethanol melting your rubber bitts and gas line. I use a rubber gas line called "Barricade". Its the only thing impervious to ethanol.
Don't use fuel injection rubber lines, they are not impervious to ethanol.
Barricade can be bought at NAPA stores.
I have some barrier hose it's 30r7 something. It's rated for ethanol. I just checked it out and it's clear. I'm going to replace accelerator diaphragm and oring it looked like it leaked a little there was some residue and slap it back together. Debating replacing the float needle but I think it's fine.
Well. Just figured out some of my issues. I was sold the wrong ness big sucker. I have an evo filter on a tc backing plate and it all doesn't fit right. The closer I look the more it's wrong. Pretty annoyed right now.
