It's a 1997 with a grey engine, mag wheels, dual remote tach and speedo and a tank mounted fuel gauge.
I'm not familiar with different dynas in 1997, but if it was a Twinkie I would say it's likely a super glide because of the grey engine and mags. I don't think newer sg's got a tach though.
Pic has the Standard rear fender removed and not the best quality. Thanks
Evo low riders had spedometer and tach on the tank. This one has gas gauge and gas cap on tank. Its a superglide. Tach on bars is a factory option. It has a S&s carb too.
Edit: can I get a picture of the front end?

I took out the battery, air filter and rear fender. I'm going to clean the super e (good eye Yamaharley) and install a new battery.
Frayed wires need to be repaired from being lowered in the front and rear.
This bike has passed hands between 3 guys at work and I am now the 4th. 1st owner wrecked around Sturgis in 99 and messed up the front works. He installed new forks (lowered) and the rear shocks. He also had a screamin eagle carb and cam installed. S&S was installed last year after sitting for years and then sat for another year after getting it back on the road so I will clean the carb.
During the wreck he put a hole in the tank and patched with jb weld so he could still ride before trailering it home.
He can't remember if the tank was changed (bike is at my storage unit). Can anybody tell if that is correct tank decal for 97?
Still a very nice bike with 18k miles for me to putt my old self around town. Being garage kept since new really does wonders for bikes and so does not riding it haha.
I would replace the tank of it has a jb weld repair. My 96 had similar decals(pewter paint with gold and red of that same Harley lettering) so it may be correct. Its funny my 96 also had those same rear axle covers, they are sitting in my parts bin.
Ignore me on the decal, multihdrdr got there first.
And congrats on the bike. Superglides are the best Harley model ever built. Post some more pictures when you get a chance. That seat looks like a sundowner too if I'm not mistaken.
