I noticed that when I pull the enricher ****, it closes as soon as I let it go unlike a choke.
Is that how it's supposed to work? And what is the proper way to use? I'm used to your typical manual choke that stays where you set it.
Thanks
Since you say it has a "****" when you pull up you have to turn it 90 deg & it will stay up. If you look at it, you can see there's a roll pin thru the **** shaft & when you pull it up, you have to turn the **** , about 90 deg for it to sit on top of the boss, the shaft & **** go down thru. It's spring loaded.
Is this **** like the stock enricher, under the tank on the left? If so it has a 'clutch' which you can tighten, to prevent it popping back in. The enricher on my G is on the right by the air filter, which is an alternative location. Wojagot?!
The enrichment lever is part of the a/c backing plate for the E carb and there is a screw with a teflon washer to add the proper amount of tension to the lever to keep the enricher on. Either the screw is loose or it's gone. You will have to remove the a/c backing plate to adjust it...

Thinking he's got one of these by calling it a ****.
Don't really know without a pic.
Soon as the engine starts shut the enricher off and use the throttle to keep it running . Leaving it on will make a rich condition and tend to carbon up.

That doesn't work with my 107 and G. I leave it partly open for the first 2-3 miles before shutting off. But then I have a T-junction just a couple of hundred yards away and it is often quite cold here.

Im just repeating what S&S say's to do. I always let my engine warm up enough that I cant touch the head, by then its idling fine.
