No complaints with the EV13 in my RK. Pulls plenty strong and keeps going.

Anyway, good to hear the bike is running better. Let us know too if it makes any difference in the gas mileage.
The MoCo used rivets to satisfy EPA regulations requiring "tamper proof" ignition settings. Doesn't mean YOU have to use them. I just bought a "plain" timer cover and rotated it to use the "horizontal" screw holes in the stand-offs that hold the timing plate in place. Omit the steel cover under the aluminum timing cover. You will need (2) 8-32 x 1/2 screws to attach the cover.

Great info!
I am looking at the EV13 to replace my stock cam, and now likely moving forward with it.

I'd love to try one, but considering the age and miles on my motor, I'm reluctant to mess with it.

Uncle G what do you have in it now? It won't hurt and will put a smile on your face.

I can see where you would be hesitant, 120K on the clock. It is a drop in cam change, you can use the solid push rods and all.

Maybe a fresh set of rings and generalized inspection of the internals of engine might be in order anyway, perhaps next January.

The N grind was the worst Evo cam ever produced. The N is what was in mine. Older Evo's had the L grind which was a lot better. Still crap compared to any aftermarket cam.

Still never dyno'd mine.
