I can only tell you I run one in my 98 RK with no problems at all.

The one thing I did that slowed me down was order the incorrect year for the connectors. I got the MC-SPA2 instead of the MC-SPA3 which had the correct connectors on it. I just swapped the ends and kept going, but it is easier ordering the correct one.

Look at Dennis Kirk's site for the three different ones and you will notice the ends differ on each. Buy the one that fits your application, which should be the "3" model.

I ordered what I could get and sod's law it has different connectors! Mine are 3 x bullet connectors - the one I've received is MC-SPA2. I could make then fit by swapping the ends BUT, I think I found the problem and may not need to change the CPS at all.

When looking at the CPS in situ, and cleaning things up ready for the swap, I noticed that one of the wires (RED) had worn through, showing bare wire. now, if this was shorting against the frame, my guess is that would have been what caused the intermittent shut down of the ignition. i may be wrong, but I've taped it up and will run it for a few more miles before swapping out the CPS....

Cheers!
Phil
