I read enough good comments on using a Bosch 3421 or the longer Bosch 3330 on evos that I may try one if the local auto parts store has them.
I also found the following to be recommended for evos:
Purolator PL10241 / PL25230
Mobil1 M1-102 ( ??? (auto forums) the M1-102 can be replaced with a bigger M1-109 ??)
Bosch 3330 ( can be replaced with longer 3330)

I think someone is trying to feed you a large helping of BS. I frequuent many oil and filter forums and this is the first I've heard of this claim. Oh a store rep must be true. Facts and links to substantiate please.
