You just haven`t noticed your bearings skidding yet...

Synthetic oil was originated in WWII, it would flow easier and assist in starting tank motors in extreme cold temps. This of course has nothing to do with riding or running syn oil in an evo. If all is well in any motor syn or dino oil will always work.

Oils get far too much coverage around HDF and there are more old wives' tales and nonsense written about the darned stuff that truth IMHO. Best if you create your own myths.....

You should use cooking oil from a sealed container and stored at 30F. The container must be opened by a female virgin from Iowa and poured on the full moon.

ANY oil is OK to use in your bike as long as you change it per the specified intervals.
Dino oil = 2K ~ 3K
Syn oil = 5K ~ 6K.

I've run Amsoil/Mobil1 in all my vehicles all the way back to the 80's Vettes and Harleys. NOT ONE single oil related problem.

At the end of the day it doesn't cost any more for syn then dino due to less changes and filters and don't forget all the plastic and oil saved from garbage dumps = good for the environment.

Hell, even some Harley riders use car oil - imagine that!!!

If you ride in stop and go traffic, syn oil is better because it protects your engine at higher temps.

Syn is a little more porous then dino oil so you might want to test it in an older engine first.
