Ok. I went for a ride this morning and the lead sinkers helps with the vibrations. Hard to place a number but my best guess is around a 30-40% reduction in vibration felt through the bars. Well worth the $4 investment.
Hey all , I've got aluminum bushings on my 84's bars . Nothing inside em . My mirrors and fingers did fine fine as I remember. Rode every Sunday for at least 200 miles when I lived in the Rockies but that was nineteen years ago . Haven't rode it in the last couple or three years till last weekend . So why does everyones bikes vibrate so bad ? I have a big big cam ( don't remember the size ) belt primary , single fire ignition and had S&S balance the whole thing plus some other additions . OK - Maybe that's it The only time the mirrors shake is when I hit about 6 grand . Problem I have now is the whole electrical system shut's down at about 6 grand ( Rev limiter is set at 8,000 ) and won't come back on till a low rpm ( maybe 1500 ). Pretty annoying . Sorry to post my problem in your thread . later -Randy
