Default Ignition switch 1995 FLSTC

Hello,
I disassembled my ignition switch to change the base plate. When I opened it a transparent plastic ring fell out. I can't find where it belongs. I tried to find an exploded view from that switch but the only one I could find does not mention that ring. Can you help me. Thanks, Roger

I would guess it goes in between your base plate and the stand.

I think the plastic ring goes on the bottom of the actual ignition switch

My guess would be somewhere on #20 or #23, maybe to help keep the switch dry?

I guess the first question I should have asked is how big is the ring??
It's gonna fit somewhere without much play so how big it is should tell you about where it goes.

on the top side of 21 to isolate it from grounding out.

Thank you all for your reactions. BTW this is mine. I rebuild it this year with that nostalgic look.

Very nice. Too bad you have that huge license plate on the back.
