Default Brembo brake swap

So I know there are several dudes who have done this swap for the front. I'm particularly looking for info on those that have swapped the rear also. To start off... I have a 1992 flhs I'm currently in the mix of swapping trannys with 93+ for the oil pan. Also going to a 02+ swing arm. So now is a good time for a brake upgrade. The main reason for doing brembo on the rear is more so for the removable caliper from bracket and no separate reservoir. The complicated part is the m/c itself. Basically wanting to see how others have mounted the m/c before I start cutting

Wink

While Schex writes his essay on how and what he did, I'll chip in here! I have a 2007 swingarm in my 1990 bike, which I initially installed with a 2004 wheel and the '07 one-piece caliper. I now have a Deuce wheel and Brembo caliper, which is caliper plus mounting bracket. To do that requires an axle spacer as the Brembo bracket is slimmer than the stock one-piece version. I used my stock Evo master cylinder, as I have done at the front as well.

For my forks I swapped to Brembo specific lowers (and used a SG front wheel) as they were actually cheaper to buy as new take-offs than buying adapters. There is even more to my forks, but I'll keep that for another day!

1st off thank you everyone for the replies, was really hoping someone had attempted to adapt the brembo m/c for the rear. Guess I'll be the Ginny pig 😉 . Today I was able to get my bracket cut out to 1" so I'm ab to start this project.

I used a 1" axle also, if I remember right, the brake bracket is the only part that had to be modified (reamed for 1" axle), 16x3" airstrike wheel ('04-'07), 1 1/8" pulley and belt, 150 tire fits nice, '09 17" airstrike up front, stock m/c's and Brembos F&R, DOT 5,

,,,and it actually runs and gets ridden, right GB?

I originally used used a stock early twincam touring rear wheel and one-piece rear caliper/mounting, with 150 tyre and 1 1/8" belt. Since then I got greedy and swapped to a Deuce rear wheel and Brembo caliper, with separate mounting bracket, which all just fits together!

I'm a bit behind you on that one - still some work needed to get roadworthy!
