Check this parts website to see what is in your clutch. In any event you need to ensure nothing is left in it, before installing your lovely new plates! A PO may have changed things, if you find something seems to be missing.

Thanks for posting that link. I didn’t find anything extra inside, and that site shows the same thing my manual shows, so I think I got everything removed.

Finished the install and got out for a couple hundred miles this afternoon. Bike shifts GREAT now. Forgot how nice it is to be able to shift into neutral at a stoplight.

Thanks again for the advice. This forum always saves me a lot of $$ on labor costs.
