ok folks. seriouly want to put a set of hogwerks LED projector headlight and driving lights on my 86 FLHTC. who here has done a conversion like that? did you run into any issues? talking with tech support at Hogwerks, they said the only issue i should have it i may have to make an adapter or hard wire it. Had a standard LED headlight on my Shovel and loved it.
I put in one of those pricey German LED bulbs with the fan and native h4 connector. It was $55 and I have them on my Ford already so I love their performance.
It is s retrofit bulb designed to work with a stock reflector housing. The stock FL 7" round headlight is what I have.
Now, what to do on the spot lights short of going trucklite????!!!!!

Headlamp works great!

i had the trucklite headlight on my shovel and loved it. they dont make that model any more. i like the Hogwerks ones because they look like the Daymaker and matching spots. good reviews from several independent sources.

I've got 2 TL7's used, want to buy one? 1's like new only 500 miles, I didn't like it. The other's age is unknown I swapped a buddy's TL7 with a
regular H4 55/80 bulb because he didn't like the Trucklite either.
I've got the Trucklite on my bike, both the headlight and the spots. I like them. I went with the JW Speaker headlight on the Sportster because I couldn't find a Trucklite in that size. The JW Speaker looks identical to the HD Daymaker. Actually, I had the HD Daymaker on it first, but it fogged up. It was like five bills (OUCH) at the time. The JW Speaker replacement on Amazon was much cheaper.

.
That's because JW makes the Daymaker and just adds the logo for the extra $$ Harley charges.
I see the attraction of the LED lamps... really nice lighting at night and better to be seen with during the daylight.
I considered them myself, but theres something weird appearance wise putting these on an EVO era machine... makes the rest of the bike look old!
Id like them to make a set with the sealed beam look.
The Trucklite has more of a sealed beam look than the JW Speakers/daymakers.
We rode down to Ft. Smith for the rally Saturday. The difference in brightness of Dr.Linda's headlight versus all the other ones is amazing. I did a U turn on the main street and had to wait for her. I just looked in my mirror until this really white light showed up. Once when we were riding with my friend and his twinkie with an expensive HD branded halogen, the daymaker was much, much brighter in my mirror. About the only downside is that if you are at an extreme angle to the light, you can't really see it. Like, say, 60-70 degrees off to the side, you don't really see it.
