ok..for those who cared..I went with a Baker 9 plate street performance clutch, 37T, and a 24T comp sprocket from BDL, the new design. Had some issues with the primary chain. The 78 pitch Baker sent was a little too small for the bike, had me confused and just about anyone else who I talked to about it, but thankfully I have a 94 FXR so I cannibalized that one and used the primary chain..fit perfectly. Couldn't use the new auto chain tensioner that Harley made, so I threw that to the side..$150 down the drain..If anyone needs hit me up, I'll make you a smoking deal..
Anyway..got the primary together, added some oil..now this had been dry for quite some time so I was waiting for some issues..there's alway new issues..Looks like a plug in the S&S motor was missing and oil was oozing out..no biggie..shoved a plug in and away I went!
The 9 plate clutch is awesome! Super smooth shifting. I love it..got about 4 miles in, and my exhaust studs broke..that's another issue that I'm rectifying right now, and I'll report back in the other threads I have going..Just wanted to say the Baker clutch is awesome! If anyone is looking replace their clutch give Baker a shot..Great customer service there, Mark and Linda were very helpful and understanding.
So you wouldn't happen to be interested in selling that '94 frame and tins, would you? Hmmm? I have a project itching at the back of my brain. Don't need any of the mechanics, except maybe the rear wheel.

Sorry man..I'm definitely keeping this one! It's got a bunch of aftermarket stuff on it. Just trying to get the 3 FXR3 dialed in before I tear the '94 apart and make that my project for 2019.

No problem, I was just taking a shot. I figured you would want to keep it.
I'll keep looking. I see some semi-beaters a lot in the $4000 range. More then I want to spend on a frame, but I think I'll find something one day.
yeah..the FXR has definitely gone up in price. I bought that 94 about 9 years ago for $3500. Completely stock, uglier than hell though. I was just looking on CL and the cheapest I've seen was about 5k. You'll probably have better luck on the east coast..out here in the west the FXR has gone up in popularity..
