They must have changed them somewhere around 98. Another dumb question. Is putting on the cv40 carb gonna really Choke that 111 motor down. The long block without ignition and carb is $1000 cheaper. I figured I can always send off carb and have it bored out and modded later. I really like the cv carb.

go the 45 Mikuni kit with that 111 motor you'll be glad you did.

If that's a stock CV, I believe it's 38 mm. Too small..

Stock CV is 40mm.

.What we have here is a failure of some sort, and i am not sure which end of the keyboard it may be
Mine?.
There are two thingies that stick up out of the middle of the big heavy round things that had some other big round slugs were/was attached too?
pistons maybe?
One thingy will be lose and the other not so much.
The book will list the tolerance.
It is the forked nature of the beast

Wood Performance specializes in Hi Flow CV's and has dyno sheets to give you an idea of what you can expect from a build. A CV is a fine carb if you have someone that knows how to build and tune them. Not enough guys have that skill set.

That's my thoughts too Rizzo. I would rather mod the cv carb. I think it's a fine carb if set up correctly.
