Give me Dual Fire Everythime thank you... Of Course... If Dual Plugged... SingleFire is the Answer... if Single Plugged... No Answer necessary!!!

Both me and my wife own twinc’s. Hers an 08, mine’s a 14
Both mild stage1 tuned
Her’s sounds like it idles lower, but no tac, so can’t supply an actual number
Mine idles between 9.5-10.5 and sounds way faster
Her’s will stall in start up iccasionally.
I wanna say the cam on hers may nit be stick, but bought used, si can’t varify

Lately, I found out VOES prevented my Evo from potato'ing as well. When cold, I could go as low as I wanted, when warmed up, if would idle around 1000/1100 rpm. Going any lower, it would drop dramatically after 20/30 secs and die, so I had to keep her around 1000.

When idling lower than 1000 warmed up, after a short time the vacuum - engaging VOES and keeping the ignition in an advanced state - drops under a certain threshold and opens up VOES, retarding the ignition, causing the drop in RPM. So, I disabled VOES on idle speed.
Using a little and simple to fabricate aluminum bracket together with 2 small spacers and a micro switch from a Ducati front brake I got lying around doing nothing.

On idle it engages the switch disabling VOES

Rolling on the throttle just a tad disengages the switch, enabling VOES

Now, its happily potato-potato'ing at 500 rpm

NOT a good idea to idle a Evo at low RPM as the oil system does not work there.

Why not? During the rebuild I did I got oil from the rockers when cranking the engine by turning the rear wheel by hand. I got even more when cranking it on the starter which is about 200 rpm. Why would there be no oil at 500 rpm?
My pressure gauge tells me there is oil, even about as much as 400 rpm higher. On hot days there is 0 psi, but then there is also 0 psi at 900 rpm. For what oil pressure is worth in a roller bearing engine...

May sound good that low but it’s not that good for a motor...should have a better smoother sound.
i might be completely wrong but it’s what a long time mechanic told me way back.

Low idle on yer Harley is Hard on Bottom Ends..This Can be Proven... I believe they may call it Brinneling??
Having been a Shop Owner, in a Fairly small community, where we Know all of the Bike Owners Far and Wide... You will find that the guy who consistently Idles that low, will consistently need a Bottom End when we finally get it in the shop..In fact one Meticulous by the book type guy... has Not had a Bottom End in Many many Miles.. Just Lucky I bet!!
Or, Looks like the guys that "Wrote the Book" might know something after all??
I Idle fairly low these days, just to **** Off the Injected Guys... who Can't... But, I Keep a Bottom End on the Shelf!!! I said already we used to have a Shop!!!

Sound??? I think open pipes on any Harley with aluminum heads sounds like ****... Just Noise. Bigger Diameter resonators/mufflers are a Nicer Tone..
Now Iron Motors, Knucks, IH Sporties... Sound Sweet with "Drags" Shovels are Next with their Iron Jugs.. E-Motors???? Lame... Noisy but Lame!
