Well we quickly wandered off topic there, from a broken fender to V-8 bikes! OzHD what's the engine in your photo in #3? I like the custom exhaust, complete with footrest hangers......

Not my bike sorry. I've got more sense than to ride about on something that only gets 65 miles to a TANK full... (8 mpg)
It does seem more of a show-pony than a real ride in that you can't go far enough to get it up to a decent speed without having to start looking for a fuel stop again... haha...
I imagine solid mount motors are even worse. The last time I got my bike back from Dyno tuning the mount for the headlight bulb broke (LED plastic). The wires broke off the LED tail lights (inside the housing) and the rear fender at the rear strut mounts both sides are cracked (the fender that is). There is a **** load of Harmonic distortion going on in these Harley's.... Could be some rust helping it also....

I suspect the range is just enough to get to that OMG point and need a break.....
well, she's stripped down now. kind of impressive how many chunks of rubber were stuck to the inside of that fender.
gonna bring it to a buddy of mine this week and see what he thinks about welding the holes up and strengthening everything up....and might just rattle-can fix it and not drop the dough on a full paint job (lets face it, she wasnt meant to be pretty)...besides...what I REALLY wanna do is finish blacking out the engine, with a few bronze accents, and painting the tins a pearl/metallic white....but then we'd have TWO big cube white-bikes....and people might not be able to tell us apart lol
ordered that bracket you linked me to...nifty setup.
might even powdercoat a few more bits and pieces while its apart
