51215 is in the Wix catalog as the proper filter for an EVO engine...
Well, a month later, I just got a call from Robin.
She said "they" looked at the filter and agreed that it was wrong.
Well, ok. That was helpful.
She also said they are sending "some" replacements that I will have in hand after the first of the year, and that they did discover that there was some sort of systemic problem where a number of the duds got through the system.
So there you have it.

I went to get a filter for my 1996 Harley, before I got to the check out I opened it, and it was one of the $3.00 fram filters, in the K&N box, the checker said that people are doing that all the time, swapping the boxes to get a little cheaper price.
Now I always check at the store.
