Im sorry guys new to this its. A 86 Harley sportster 1200 originally 883 but it was converted....i checked oil in tank seems good it hasnt lost power or rides differently just the ticking after 2nd Im wondering where are the other holes you are talking about not sure if it has three and it sounds like coming from the bottom

He assumed it was a big twin, where the primary and the trans have separate fluids. (Add in the engine oil, which is also separate, and you've got three holes.)
A few things to try/ask:
- Does the ticking go away when you pull the clutch?
- Does the ticking change speed if you pull the clutch and rev the motor? IE, is it a function of road speed or engine speed?
- Checked for nails/rocks in your tires?
- You've got a chain final on that, don't you? How's the chain look? The sprockets?
I really appreciate the helpful information guys I learn something new everyday just bought an online repair service manual for my bike but a good friend of mine has a guy that knows about sportsters and he rode it for a bit its when he went to turn it on a puff of smoke from the exhaust where it meets the head he says its an exhaust leak he says thats why i only hear it certain rpm I asked him if its safe to ride it like that he says its fine for.
