Primary plug leak

Man that's a lot of work to go through to get the same results I've had simply using a bit of Teflon paste on the OEM plug.
No leaks or drips in that last 10 years.

It was a relatively safe assumption. Other than a relative handful of early, transition era bikes, they all have the same plug as yours.

The plug is tapered and the hole is often ruined if you really get on it when tightening. Once that happens, then you have to do what you are doing. Tap and put in a brass pipe plug.

not sure if our plugs are in the same location … mine is in the outer primary … stock was tapered with a magnet on the end … turned it in too far once and the magnet got removed … so while I had the outer cover off hunting down pieces of magnet I made my alteration …
