Was all that sealer concealing a leak? I hope not!! Keep your eyes peeled.
No the tank is virtually new inside but when I had my bike painted a couple yrs ago they sealed the inside. Sealer has been peeling off for about 2 yrs now. The good thing is there is no rust inside. Wish I never had it sealed but Most of the sealer is out of the tank now.

I'm with you...my factory sealer just started to let go this past summer. I have sealed other tanks in the past and it always seems to eventually fail. Followed instructions to the letter and 5 to 6 years later they fail.
Keeping my current tank "bare" on the inside. Just need to remember to use alcohol free fuel when I can and keep it full and alcohol free for the winter nap. I even toss in some 2 stroke or marvel mystery oil in the fuel for winter storage. Not sure if it helps, but makes me feel good. YD
Well it looks like the new regulator has smoked my stater. I get 12.5v off the battery with or without the engine reved. My digital volt tester with one lead to Grd and other lead to stater connection gets continuity, Grounded stater.
