I was watching a Youtube video on A Kicker install. Looked similar to yours. It was in a shop and the guy seemed competent.
Nothing but problem doing the complete install. Had it been Me I would have abandoned the project half way in.
That kit, a York, I believe, is a real POS. They eliminate the extension shaft which is a good idea. Unfortunately the thing tends to seize up. I couldn't get it to even work.
But, I don't think it is Broken... Just Crap Quality and Workmanship
Check
Ensure it really has been programmed to zero dead revs.. Plugs out resting on heads, ignition on, roll over by hand on kicker... spark quickly... not a couple of pushes...
This will also ensure the kit can actually engage properly without any pressure against it even... just like pushing it thru with pressure on it... can the damn thing even stay engaged when rolled over smoothly/slowly????
thank you
its great to get good advice
ill try it and let you know
it’s sometimes frustrating when people assume that everyone should know at least as much about bikes as they do
very much appreciate the very useful help

OK got a baker kicker conversion for my evo , What exhaust will fit on a 1998 softail evo ? Any help would be great
If you want to use H-D stuff, the Twin cam exhausts will bolt right up to the Evo heads but you'll probably have to fab up the lower mounts.
It gives you some options but sorry, I don't know what you'll run into with clearances for the kicker.
There used to be a 3/4" longer kicker shaft available. I don't remember who made/sold it.
