I would NOT ever call Sporter a girls Bike,
Look where the K model Came from!
Without it, HD may have not ever graduated to overhead valves!
Everyone would be proudly putting around on a flat head!
The Sport was the all out racer of the time and last i knew was still a great flat tracker.

I loved my Old Iron head, I just outgrew it for what I was doing.
Two up was getting a bit crowded.
As I said, I did coast to coast and most every state with it.
I had modded it pretty good and kicking a 74 incher **** was not even a challenge.
The biggest problem for me anyway was the swing arm again, it needed regular atnn or it became a flexible flyer.

Oh... I have never fallen over... except at the tavern!!!
In fact won more than one "slow race" with an Ironhead...Not as easy as a newer FXR, or especially a Dyna... but... Did it!!!

Getting all the oil out of the crankcase in a dry sump engine is also a good way to pick up some free horsepower. Dragging the flywheels through all that oil sucks up some power, that's why race engines use crank scrapers. I run my vent from the crankcase into a Krank Vent one way valve and from there into a small catch bottle, which never gets much in it. Keeps the bottom end from building up too much pressure seems to keep the gaskets and seals intact and maybe frees up a tiny amount of power.

More than a Tiny Bit...a Windage Tray helps Bunches... and a way to relieve the Pressure... is an even bigger help...Evacuation Pump.
The dragging of oil around the Wheels is commonly referred to as Roping....Bad JuJu if Looking for performance...The one way valve??? I distrust them... but, beats Nothing!!!
